{"id":296,"date":"2010-08-04T02:48:15","date_gmt":"2010-08-04T07:48:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.martysparadox.com\/index.php"},"modified":"2014-03-24T01:14:33","modified_gmt":"2014-03-24T08:14:33","slug":"forever-and-always","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.martysparadox.com\/index.php\/writing\/writing-1992\/forever-and-always","title":{"rendered":"Forever and Always\u2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5><em>By Martin Falatic<br \/>\nWritten 1992-02-28 00:45<br \/>\nRevised 1997-03-19<\/em><\/h5>\n<div class=\"hr\">\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I looked into her eyes tonight,<br \/>\nthe veil of doubt parted for a moment.<br \/>\nHer eyes say so much.<br \/>\nI could swim in their depths for a lifetime<br \/>\n&#8212; ten lifetimes! &#8212;<br \/>\nand never tire.<br \/>\nIn the short time I&#8217;ve known her,<br \/>\nI&#8217;ve seen in them wonder and delight,<br \/>\nsadness and pain<br \/>\nYet I know that should a single tear fall from those eyes,<br \/>\nI will be there with her, in body or in spirit,<br \/>\nto bring comfort to her soul.<br \/>\nShe looks back, a smile tugging at her lips.<br \/>\nWhat is she thinking?<br \/>\nI try to hold the moment, but it is gone,<br \/>\nshifting with her gaze.<br \/>\nI watch her face, trying to read her thoughts.<br \/>\nEven in her nuances, she tells more than words could ever say.<br \/>\nI reach out and touch her face, feeling its warmth.<br \/>\nIt is times like this I want to say something &#8212;<br \/>\nanything! &#8212; to tell her of my feelings,<br \/>\nYet I stay my tongue,<br \/>\nknowing that all that we want to say is understood.<br \/>\nShe turns to me, and greets my lips with a kiss.<br \/>\nI return it, more deeply than before,<br \/>\nas if by touch alone we convey the feelings within us.<br \/>\nShe reaches for my hand, and as we kiss,<br \/>\nour fingers begin a slow, silent dance together.<br \/>\nThey intertwine, touch, and stroke one another,<br \/>\na sign language that only we understand.<br \/>\nAfter some long time we end the kiss,<br \/>\nI look at her, and our eyes meet.<br \/>\nI think about us, two lovers finding hope&#8230;<br \/>\nWithin those eyes I see forever,<br \/>\ntwo hearts that have reborn.<\/p>\n<div class=\"hr\">\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Martin Falatic Written 1992-02-28 00:45 Revised 1997-03-19 I looked into her eyes tonight, the veil of doubt parted for a moment.
